Day 1 Johannesburg to African Ranches River Camp (Botswana)

After collection from the Airport you will be driven to our premises and given a thorough introduction to your vehicle. This will include operational factors such as opening the tents to the various situation’s that will require the use of the 4wd capabilities
You will then be taken to the local supermarket where you can stock up on supplies for your adventure.
You will then head north for your first night in the African wilderness to a beautiful campsite on the Limpopo River in Botswana. African Ranches is a serene campsite set under large trees on the banks of the Limpopo river. From the abundant birdlife to the wonderful sounds of the hippo’s nearby you will start unwind and capture the laid back spirit of Africa.

Day 2 African Ranches River Camp to Elephant Sands

One of the many highlights of a trip into Africa is being able to see wild elephants. Elephant Sands is a wonderful campsite en route to the North of Botswana and Victoria Falls. It is unfenced and a great opportunity to see wildlife in close proximity.

Day 3 Elephant Sands Campsite to Chobe Safari Lodge

Chobe Safari Lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River, the area is teaming with Game and you may take the opportunity to have a river cruise or try to catch the mighty Tiger Fish lurking in the depths of the Zambezi. We recommend you spend 2 nights here to truly experience what the area has to offer.

Day 5 Chobe Safari Lodge to Maramba River Lodge (Zambia)

Maramba River Lodge in the town of Livingstone is a beautiful campsite located near the picturesque Victoria Falls. These falls are classified as the Largest in the world and border 2 countries (Zambia & Zimbabwe). There are many activities to chose from in Livingstone, including Bungee Jumping and Helicopter rides. We recommend you spend 2 nights in Livingstone.

Day 7 Maramba River Lodge to Nata Lodge

This wonderful lodge set on the fringes of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans is a haven for birldlife including Pelicans and Flamingo’s as well as a host of other rarely seen species. It is a wonderful place to brush off the dust and have a dip in the pool.

Day 8 Nata Lodge to Khama Rhino Sanctuary

Khama Rhino Sanctuary is a wonderful way to see one of Africa’s most endangered Mammals. There is abundant game in the sanctuary and you will get to see the wonderful work that is being done to protect this species. Established in 1993 it is a wonderful effort by the Serowe community trust.

Day 9 Khama Rhino Sanctuary to Botsalano Game Reserve (South Africa)
The reserve is located in open Kalahari thornveld. It is used for the breeding of antelope species and other mammals for the stocking of reserves throughout the province. There is an extensive network of roads which are accessible to motorists in most vehicles. We recommend that you try and stay at Sentry Bush camp which has the most majestic views.

Day 10 Botsalano Game Reserve to Johannesburg

Sadly the last day of your African adventure, spend a couple of hours driving around Botsalano and then the relatively short drive back to Johannesburg, where we will receive the vehicle from you and drive you back to the airport. If required we can arrange a B&B locally where you can freshen up prior to your flights home.
